Herman & Jelle Klein Teeselink awarded University of Twente’s ‘Van den Kroonenbergprize’ 2025

Herman (founder HoSt Group) and Jelle Klein Teeselink (CEO HoSt Group) have been honored with the annual Van den Kroonenberg Award, the 'Van den Kroonenbergprijs', by the University of Twente and the University Fund Twente. Herman and Jelle are both alumni of the University of Twente. The prize is awarded to entrepreneurs with a UT affiliation who have successfully launched a startup. The award was presented during the Opening of the Academic Year at the university in Enschede.

Global impact

The jury praised Herman and Jelle for the impressive growth and global impact of HoSt Group. Since 2020, our family company have experienced spectacular growth: our turnover rose to €200 million and we expanded from a team of 100 to over 600 employees. To continue facilitating this growth, HoSt Group be relocating to the High Tech Systems Park in Hengelo, the Netherlands.

About the 'Van den Kroonenberg Award'

The Van den Kroonenberg Award for excellent entrepreneurship is presented to an entrepreneur with a clear connection to the University of Twente and who has proven themselves through sound entrepreneurship. This award is judged by a jury of entrepreneurs and University of Twente researchers. The award is a tribute to former Rector Magnificus Harry van den Kroonenberg, who was instrumental in fostering the University of Twente’s entrepreneurial spirit. The award, presented for the 41st time this year on behalf of the University Fund Twente, consists of a cash prize of €5,000 and an award designed by Mohana van den Kroonenberg.
